Smart Source's mission was to create an app for both iOS and Android that could verify tickets quickly and easily. But it would also work to check tickets for several events at the same time. This was particularly important for Kulturcentralen's organizers who organize festivals.
React Native, Kulturcentralen
With nearly 20 years of experience, Kulturcentralen has adapted to the digital changes in ticket sales. They moved from selling tickets in their Malmö store to building their own scanning app. Smart Source has been a reliable partner in building and maintaining Kulturcentralen's website and mobile app.
To maintain their leading position, Kulturcentralen wanted a digital solution for checking tickets at the entrance. Manual checks had been the standard, but a more efficient method was needed. Smart Source built an app for both iOS and Android that can quickly verify tickets and support multiple events at once.
Speed and communication were key factors in the development of the app. It was built to use the mobile camera to quickly scan and analyze QR codes. The app also communicates with the central database to verify scanned codes through the server's API.

The result was a downloadable app for Kulturcentralen's organizers. They can quickly scan tickets on any mobile device and begin checking attendees right away.
Smart Source worked with volunteer testers to produce and deliver the app. It is now used by multiple organizers, helping with their work every week.
The project followed a Scrum methodology with regular consultations with the customer. Speed and user-friendliness were key priorities throughout.

Eventamang, a Swedish event ticketing and access control company, needed a mobile app that venue staff could use to scan tickets in real time at event entrances. The app had to work reliably in crowded, noisy venues with spotty connectivity — and confirm access instantly so staff could make real-time decisions about attendee flow.
We built a native iOS and Android mobile app using Swift and Kotlin that integrates with Eventamang's ticketing backend. Key features:
Eventamang's venues can now process attendees 3x faster at entry points, with zero manual ticket verification. The app has been deployed to 200+ venues and processed millions of scans with 99.8% accuracy. Staff adoption was immediate because the UX was intuitive and fast.
